The new school year begins in April in Japan.
My eldest son is currently on spring break, but will start school on April 6, and will be a 3rd grader in elementary school.
My son’s elementary school is about a 10 minute walk from our house and he walks there by himself.
The elementary school to which a student attends is pre-determined according to his/her address. My son originally planned to attend a different elementary school, but My husband and I thought it would be dangerous because of the many cars on the way to school, so ｗe consulted with the Ome City Office and had it changed to the current elementary school.
Today, I could not go due to work, but my husband and oldest son went climbing to Takamizu-Sanzan(高水三山）. Mt. Fuji（富士山） and Mt. Takao（高尾山） are probably the most famous in Japan, but there are many other good mountains in the Tokyo area.
Well, today’s dinner was rice, miso soup, grilled salmon, roast beef and salad.
I went to the library and the supermarket today, so I will blog about it separately.
